the peace sign
the peace sign, a globally recognized symbol, represents the hopeful aspirations of people pushing against aggression, oppression, suffering, and war. cia experiments with the peace symbol as a state of imperfection — an exploration of the fragility of peace.
the peace symbol was originally designed in 1958 by the british designer, gerald holtom, for a protest supporting nuclear disarmament.
